Dimas is a sociopreneur, ICT trainer, motivational speaker, blogger, and researcher. He is one of the founders of Kartunet.com, the first website and online community founded by blind people in Indonesia in 2006. Kartunet empowers the abilities of blind people through information and communication technology (ICT). By training them to use computers and internet, they can be empowered to work in digital communication or become entrepreneurs through e-commerce.
Dimas has been blind from the age of 12. He graduated with a Bachelor of Humanities from the University of Indonesia and is a prolific writer and motivational speaker. He was awarded as a Young change Maker in 2012 by Ashoka Indonesia and an Australian Leadership Award Fellowship from Flinders University, Adelaide in 2013. He joined the ChangemakerXChange Summit Asia Pacific Singapore-Malaysia in 2017.
Currently, he became a public researcher at the Centre for Assessment and Learning, Research and Development Agency, Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia. He is interested in topics such as inclusive education and accessible learning technology.
